Sacroiliac joint injection
A sacroiliac joint injection is used to diagnose or treat lower back pain that comes from sacroiliac joint. This procedure is performed to treat inflammatory Sacroiliac joints, which are located in the lower back, using a steroid. The steroid is injected directly into the SI joint and includes both a corticosteroid and an anesthetic numbing agent.
