Percutaneous double J insertion (if it is not possible to insert it through cystoscopy)
Double-J (DJ) stents are among the basic and commonly used tools in urology in many procedures. The stent has curves and is inserted into the ureter to aid urine drainage from the kidney into your bladder. The procedure is guided by ultrasound and uses an echogenic needle, enabling visualization from the moment the needle penetrates the skin until it reaches the renal calyx. The preferred route is through the middle calyx, which offers easier access to the ureteropelvic junction.
