​​​​​​​​​​​​​​PPH is when a woman has heavy bleeding after giving birth. An interventional radiologist (IR) will insert a catheter into the femoral artery and using image guidance will navigate into the arteries supplying blood to the uterus. The IR will then inject small particles that block the blood flow to the uterus and stop the bleeding.
